EVENING CLASSES:

Modern Dance for Teens and Adults, Ages 15 & Up
Monday, 10/20/2008 - 12/15/2008, 7:00 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.
Members: $125 | Non-Members: $145 | Studio Fee: $9
Instructor: Laura Teeter

This class will use the concepts of suspension, gravity, energy, and counter-balance. It will explore these concepts through floor work, a standing warm-up, and dance phrases that give students a chance to really move. The class will utilize sounds and rhythm to help students better understand the nuance of movement.

Ballet for Teens and Adults, Ages 15 & Up
Monday, 10/20/2008 - 12/15/2008, 5:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.

Instructor: Laura Teeter

This class will begin at the barre and progress to the center, moving across floor combinations. While using traditional ballet technique and terminology, this class will also stress natural, healthy placement of the body, musicality, flow, and artistry. Laura enjoys a very hands-on approach in her teaching, allowing students to focus on their individual progress.

Jazz Dance for Teens and Adults
Wednesday, 10/22/2008 - 12/17/2008, 5:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.

Instructor: Jennifer Yackel

This class will start with a warm-up that will concentrate on placement, stretch, and strength. It will then progress across the floor and center combinations that will focus on dynamics, musicality, and technique. This class is appropriate for any level of dancer and is a great opportunity to learn and have fun!

DAYTIME CLASSES:

Saturday, 11/8/2008 - 12/20/2008, 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Beginning Ballet for Children, Ages 8-14

This course will begin at the barre, progress into the center and continue to move across the floor. The class will focus on developing strength and learning the correct placement of the body. Students will learn to incorporate musicality, breath, and focus into their movement, utilizing their love for dance.
