The audience and dancers enter the wonderfully exhilarating world of modern dance through specifically chosen excerpts from the company's critically acclaimed repertory. These performance programs are designed with the audience age in mind and give students an understanding and appreciation of the art form while exploring music, rhythms, spatial concepts, human interaction and themes that come from everyday life. Artistic Director Ellen Sinopoli introduces each dance and audience participation is always included. Advance planning with teachers will enable us to select repertory options which can coincide with particular studies or curriculum based activities. Preparation for the show and follow-up activities can be done in the classroom by using the study guide provided. To enhance the performance experience, this program can be combined with pre- and/or post-performance workshops with our dancers at your location.
