"I was nervous that some of my students, especially the boys, would not participate, but there was 100% participation and they loved it!"
~ 5th grade teacher

Appropriate for all age levels, the company's workshops are designed to nurture the creative potential of each student in a safe and non-threatening environment and are taught by two artists from the company accompanied by a percussionist. Verbal and visual tools are given to assist them in finding innovative shapes and imaginative ways to move. Since music is an integral component of our workshop experience, students are introduced to the instruments of our accompanist and have the opportunity to explore and experiment with their rhythms and sounds. Along with creating an appreciation for an art form and sparking the creative imagination of the participants, the activities in our workshop programs act as a vehicle for students to develop life skills: social interaction, successful communication, trust, self-discipline, a strong work ethic, cooperation, an understanding of the team concept and self-esteem. Participants in these programs display stronger academic performance, a healthier rapport with teachers and classmates, confidence, self-assurance, blossoming imaginations, enthusiasm for challenging projects, a sense of individuality and physical well-being, tolerance and respect for others.

“This experience made me a whole new person. I feel good about myself.”
~ 3rd grade student

Workshop programs can be tailored to your specific needs and may consist of one or more visits with each participating class. Workshops are 45 minutes to one hour in length and are for groups of 15 to 25 participants. They are designed to be held on their own or in conjunction with a performance by the company.

“The workshop had everything – problem solving, group work, motor skills,
vocabulary building and more. Fantastic!”

~ Middle School teacher
